Since we had 100 miles free towing service with AAA, my wife called AAA to tow the car back to Chicago (Chicago is exactly 116 miles from their garage to my relative's place in Des Plaines) the very next day. AAA called the same garage for towing service and they told AAA that they had stopped towing for AAA (Please keep in mind that they towed my car to their garage the previous day). So AAA had to arrange for someone else to tow the car back to Chicago to my relative's place. My relative was able to get the problem fixed for less than $1500. So for less than ($1500 + $64 (AAA charged us only $4 per extra mile)) $1564, I was able to get my car repaired in Chicago instead of $4000 Gonzalo's Towing/Service & Repair was quoting. And Gonzalo's Towing/Service & Repair charged us around $300 for diagnostics to release the car to AAA. Daylight robbery!!! Please stay away from this Gonzalo's Towing/Service & Repair in Rock Falls, IL area. They are crooks.
I was fortunate enough to have met Mike at Autozone who made a phone call and told me that Gonzalo would help fix my car. This is a father and son operation that I would recommend to anyone in the area that needs automotive work or towing. The are honest, friendly, and good at what they do.
My car broke down(serpentine belt failed) and I was stranded in Rock Falls trying to find a mechanic who would work on my vehicle.
They were really nice. Nobody else would help us fix our tire because it was late at night. They towed us and got the tire we needed in the morning because they didn't have it right away at night. Because we had to wait overnight, they fixed our tire without charging Labor. They were kind, quick, and caring. Even offered us donuts. Fair prices and kind people. Would definitely recommend them for when you're in a bind and need a quick fix!

The two gentleman (son/dad) came out into the middle of farms and cornfields to jump start my dead battery so I could get home (2 hrs away). They persevered to find and secure a location under the hood for the negative charge connection (we struggled a great deal with no success before they arrived). They were very helpful and friendly!! In June 2017, my wife and my 2 year old son was driving back from Chicago to California along with an older couple. Our car was broken down near Rock Falls, IL. My wife called AAA and the father (This is a father/son operation) came out to tow the car to their garage. They told us that it will take at least 2 weeks or so to repair the car and it will cost us $4000. Or we can just give the car to them with title for free. This is 2001 Infiniti I30 with brand new tires, leather seats, a good condition car which never gave us any trouble before. With a two year old, it was not possible for my wife to stay there in Rock Falls, IL for two weeks, which they knew and they were trying to get the car from us for free.
This is not a problem that requires a lot of time to fix but finding a place and mechanic that would do the work was quickly becoming a problem.

I had a company driver who called in from Rock Falls with a wheel seal issue on his truck. (He's 100 miles away from our shop and at 3pm the day before Thanksgiving) I happened to be looking at Google maps and noticed he was around the corner from Gonzalo's Towing. I took a shot and called them and they said they could take a look at the truck. They were able to quickly get my driver back on the road so that he could get it back our shop. I cannot thank you enough for the quick & friendly service!!!.
